I am thinking pretty soon I will have more to say about what Dr. Marc Dussault had to say when he visited Riverside in June, but I wanted to share the publicity this was given. The top link is a half-page story in the print version of the Press-Enterprise that used both these photos. Since the event in these photos was invitation-only, we didn't give it any pre-publicity, but we did give his presentation to American Marketing Association - Inland Empire some.

An inexpensive day in Houston

 Most of the time, you can find me working on a blog post or one of my books at a Starbucks somewhere in the greater Dallas Fort Worth area. It's official!

My "office" is right here . Because this is also my house, all business will be transacted off-site, but I'll write the press releases and marketing plans right here! This morning I filed paperwork with Riverside County and the City of Jurupa Valley to officially launch my business, Pen Porter. This is a name I came up with 10 years ago for what I knew would someday become a writing business. There are so many forms of writing, and 10 years ago, I wanted to take them all on. Fast forward 10 years. With the rise of social media and the fantastic growth of the Internet since then, there are even more forms of writing. And I still want to do it all, but I will probably mostly be writing press releases to help other small to medium-sized businesses grow their companies. An update on me, the Rising Star

I wanted to let all readers know a few significant things about me since I last posted here. 1. I obtained my marketing management certificate from the University of California-Riverside Extension in December. 2. I was named a "Rising Star" by the university this month. This recognition is given to students who did well in their program, and now have demonstrated success outside the classroom. 3. Pen Porter has grown quite a bit since summer. My biggest client right now is the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce, because I'm serving as its marketing manager. So, you will usually find me during the day at 7920 Limonite Ave., Suite B, Jurupa Valley instead of at my official address on Juan Diaz. By working as the marketing manager, I get more exposure to the businesses closest to my home, and I get a fairly quiet place to work. 4.
