Look for important news on my blog
As I grow my business, there are a number of ways I hope to get the word out. One is by press releases. In my previous entry, I showed some of my recent success in that area for my paying clients.
Another way I intend to do so is by helping them create and/or manage their own blogs. That's because blogs are a way that they can, at no charge, get their stories out. Unlike through traditional media, stories can be published on blogs that are not filtered by a reporter. And we all know, especially here in Jurupa Valley where I live, that reporters filters don't always allow the whole truth of a story to come out.
I have several paying clients who have some great stories to tell, that may or may not be of interest to the general public. If a reporter or editor doesn't think those stories are of interest to us all, they won't be published in that journalist's newspaper. But that doesn't mean those stories won't be interesting to some people, especially those who will do business with them.
Their customers will see their website. And if there is a link on the website to the blog, chances are they will see my customers' blog too. That's a good thing if there are freshly posted, well-written stories on that blog. I hope to make sure that's the case.
In the meantime, I am going to use my own blog to help my non-paying client, the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce, spread some news. I have to use my blog for now. That's because there are some technological challenges that will prevent me from establishing an actual blog for them, not the least of which is that their web host has blocked access to blogger.com. As time goes on , I may figure out a way to help them create their own blog.
But I'm their publicity person anyhow. So for now, my blog will work. My next entry will display some press releases that have been sent to the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce by other groups. This is important news for business owners and the public in general in Jurupa Valley, so that's why I'm going to do my best to spread this word.
